To North Muskham Villagers and everyone with an interest in the village.

This project, which began in January, will continue in its present form until Christmas 2020. It is our hope that it will then move in new directions. The key elements of this stage of the project involve:

  • Clubs for primary and secondary pupils;
  • A reminiscence group for senior villagers;
  • An established website;
  • Workshops for villagers who remember the 80s, 90s, 2000s;
  • A publication of Muskham stories;
  • Performances of Muskham stories from 1939-2019;
  • A play based upon the diaries of Olive Williams.

We intend to  take photographs, record interviews and make video footage for the purposes of the project. This material may appear in our printed publications, publicity materials or on the project website. We might also send material to the news media, who could  use them in publications or on their own websites. It is always worth remembering that once we have submitted information to the media, we have little control over how it will be used.

We will, of course, do our utmost to seek individual consent for any material that we use. However, this may not always be possible. If there are matters that you would prefer us not to mention or refer to, then please do not hesitate to let us know. We intend to show village-participants in a positive light and will not include anything that could be associated with negative issues that would cause offence.

In conclusion, the purpose of this letter is a) to provide you with information about the project and b) to ensure that you have a point of contact. You are welcome to make contact with us, or with a member of the Steering Group at any time.
